The guys we know are coming back.

So far I can be sure of 4 guys that will be coming back to the team for next season.

  1. Randall Gelech
  2. Jakub Koreis
  3. Pascal Rheaume
  4. Joel Perrault

Joel and Pascal are the scorers on the team that we will have on the team next season. Randall can score sometimes but he does it in spurts. Jakub it has taken a while but hopefully next season he will get things together. I can't wait for next season, hopefully it will be better than this past season. Being last and out of the playoffs isn't the greatest feeling for anyone.

Rampage lost 4-3 to Omaha

Rampage lost to Omaha 4-3. The guys were down 2-0 and worked their way back to tie it twice. Not the best way to end the season but the guys played their best. I will keep everybody updated with what happens over the summer.

RAMPAGE BEAT OMAHA 3-1!!!

Rampage beat Omaha 3-1. It was a good game, the guys played hard. Callahan, Zinger, and Spiller all had fights during the game. Biggest crowd of the season over 8,000. Rheaume, Gelech, and Cornacchia all scored goals. The three stars of the game were all from the Rampage: 1. Randall Gelech, 2. Scott Stirling, 3. Pascal Rheaume.
Last game of the season is Sunday against Omaha again.

Rampage lose 4-2 to Grand Rapids

Well the guys lose once again. They play Omaha Saturday and Sunday. We are still the worse team in the AHL. This is the worse that hockey in San Antonio has ever done.

Rampage lose 3-2 to Peoria

Well looks like Peoria won all of their games against us. Joe Callahan scored his first goal of the season. Better late than never. We know the team can't win all that much, hopefully next season will be much better. We should be getting some young guys to help out. We play Grand Rapids today, then Omaha the next two nights. Sunday is the end of the season. It has gone by so fast. Kind of sad that it is going to end but then again kind of glad that we will be getting a fresh start next season.

Saturday and Sunday

We lost both games. Once against Milwaukee and the other time to Houston in OT. Kind of knew that the winning wouldn't last long. All though the team did try to come back to win both games. They only lost by one for both. 4-3 and 5-4 were the scores for those games. The guys play Peoria tonight. Let's hope they can get at least a win from this series with them. Then the guys travel to Grand Rapids to play the Griffins.

RAMPAGE WIN!!!!

Rampage beat Milwaukee 3-2 in shootout. Milwaukee is one good team, the guys played hard all game. Good thing the losing streak ended at 7 games. The longest losing streak is 8 games for this season. 6 more games remain before the season is over. It is kind of hard to think of what we are going to be doing in the off season. All the guys will be going home at the end of the season. We will be watching the NHL playoffs for sure. After those are over it is most likely watching baseball. But I will try to keep everybody up to date on what is happening with this team during the off season. For example, trades, sigings, and that type of stuff. Saturday is Spurs night, after the game they are auctioning off the jerseys. The guys play Milwaukee again, hopefully the guys can play like they did last night and win this game.

Putt Putt Golfing with the team

Steve Gainey

Joel Perrault

The putt putt golf was a success in my eyes. It was fun, each guy had a hole that they stayed at. Everybody took turns at each hole and got to play 18 holes. Steve Gainey was willing to pay anybody 10$ if anybody could make a hole in one at his hole. Only one person was able to do this, that person was me. I didn't think I would make it since I'm not that good at any type of golf. I think the players had fun doing this event. Some of the players would show you how to play the hole. I will be adding pictures sometime in the near future.

Today is the booster club meeting. We will be having John Zeiler and Dan Winnik at the meeting. John has signed an ATO with the team and Dan signed a contract to play next season with the Coyotes. But the Coyotes assigned him here, probably most likely to get a feel for it next season when he plays.

Bowling with some Players

Saturday was a good day to go bowling with some hockey players. It was an event for the season ticket holders that had a 70% attendance rate at the games. There were 8 guys from the team there. Those players were:

  • Pascal Rheaume
  • Eric Chouinard
  • Joel Perrault
  • Dwayne Zinger
  • Randall Gelech
  • Justin Cox
  • Jakub Koreis
  • Joe Callahan

Randall Gelech likes to bowl all the time, so he has his good games and bad games. Dwayne Zinger is a pretty good bowler. He beat me one game, so then I tried to beat him the second time. Too bad they had a time limit on the games, if there wasn't I would have probably beat Dwayne at that one. I have video of some of the players bowling, if I knew how to add them I would. Today we have putt putt golf with the whole team.
